Our Community

Drainservice.org sponsor and supports many different charities and groups within the North West area.

This year two of our employees Andy White and Paul Birch completed Total Warrior in the Lake District which is a 10k obstacle course involving mud, water, and fire that they are going to take on again in 2018.

A keen Baritone player for many years, Steve is always ready to help in any way he can to assist, making donations towards the cost of instruments, competition entries even finding locations and seating for rehearsals. Steve Caunce Limited has recently pledged a donation to Wingates Band that will allow them to perform a fundraising concert at St Georges Hall, Liverpool April 2016 in aid of The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

Friends of Gambia Schools – Steve’s keen love of fishing took him to the Gambia; here on making friends out there he now takes out books, pencils, and other stationery for the school children. Eventually set up an ongoing donation fund to provide continued help.

Steve’s local church, St James the Great Church Haydock, needed funding for various projects. Initially Steve Caunce Limited provided sponsorship of a marquee for outside events but after lead flashing was stolen from the roof the church needed thousands of pounds to be raised to carry out vital repairs; a donation by Steve Caunce Limited was made of prizes for fundraising events.

Steve became chairman of the Friends of King George VI Park, Haydock following a sponsorship of prizes for the best logo for the Friends Competition at Legh Vale School. Living all his life in close proximity to the park he is keen to preserve and promote the park for the use of everyone living in Haydock.

Steve Caunce Limited makes donations to the St Helens Communication Group for the Stroke Association. The Stoke Association is the only national charity solely devoted to stroke, both in the community and in funding research programs. Without the support of general donations and raffle prizes, they would be unable to continue the work they do.

Not only does Steve make donations to charities and groups throughout the North West he also gives up his own time to help mentor individuals looking to start their own businesses. Through St Helens Chamber Steve meets with people in the early stages of starting a business to provide encouragement and guidance about their business idea and helps them to develop a business plan.
